What makes my job special is the balance between independence and teamwork. I’m trusted to do my job my own way, but I can also step in at the depots when things get busy. That variety keeps me on my toes and makes my work meaningful. I’m proud that I can offer reliability and flexibility—ensuring our carriers are always where they need to be. The culture feels like family: we respond quickly, solve problems efficiently, and go the extra mile for our customers.

Our HR, payroll, and compliance role is unique: we combine precision with a human touch. Payroll is more than just numbers; it directly affects people. I’m proud to be trusted with that responsibility in such a growing company. The culture is professional yet informal, with short lines of communication and a pleasant atmosphere. Birthdays are never overlooked, and we occasionally do fun activities together. I find that very important, and it makes going to work a pleasure.

What struck me right from the start: from the CEO to the operators, everyone works hard and is committed to improvement. I help make the organization safer, more sustainable, and more efficient—day in and day out. HB feels like family. We’re growing fast, but the heart remains warm. That afternoon outside Utrecht, serving oliebollen to the drivers… that was HB at its best.

We have a team with extensive logistics expertise. By pooling our knowledge, we can solve almost any RTI challenge. I’m proud that we add value and truly help our customers move forward. The culture is open and people-oriented: there’s room for growth and recognition for your achievements.

The team spirit here is truly special. We share knowledge, help each other grow, and build something new together. I’m proud that my years of experience in pooling immediately add value. But the moment that really touched me? It was when a colleague fell ill and another colleague handled the situation with such humanity and care. That was pure compassion, and it’s exactly why HB is such a special place.

What really touches me is how strong the sense of family is here. You could see that during the padel tournament we recently organized for our colleagues: fun, teamwork, and pride.
