Acquisition of PPS
In January 2026, HB RTS acquired the PPS Group in the United Kingdom. This strategic move strengthened our position in Europe and further expanded our international network.
2025
First US branch
In 2025, HB RTS also acquired the American branch of the former TPS, thereby expanding its services to the United States.
2024
Acquisition of TPS
With the acquisition of TPS Rental Systems, the geographical scope expanded to cover the whole of Europe. In addition, the product portfolio was also significantly expanded.
2022
Acquisition of CC European Retail
With the acquisition of CC European Retail, a spin-off of Container Centralen, HB RTS further expanded its pooling and service offering.
2006
Start HB RTS
The Bijsterbosch brothers gave their company a new name: HBRTS. They were the first in the Netherlands to introduce a nationwide deposit system. In the years that followed, the focus shifted to the rental and cleaning of RTIs.
1987
First fully automatic washing machine
In 1987, the first fully automatic crate washing machine was put into operation. Not long after, a washing machine for pallets was introduced.
1977
Establishment of Container Centralen
Container Centralen, which was later acquired by HB RTS, was one of the first players in the Benelux region in the field of pooling and reverse logistics.
1970
Establishment of Bijsterbosch Transport
The Bijsterbosch brothers laid the foundation for what would later become HB RTS by establishing a transport company specializing in refrigerated products, operating at the time under the name Bijsterbosch Transport.
The future is circular
Our growth went hand in hand with a clear commitment to sustainability. Today, HB RTS is a pan-European total supplier with more than 30 locations, over 300 employees, and millions of RTIs in circulation.
What has never changed is our conviction that reusable load carriers and circular services are the key to future-proof supply chains. Less waste, more control, and systems that continue to work, even as volumes increase.
