Your role as Business Development Director
HB RTS is entering its next phase of growth. HB RTS is profitable, internationally active, and PE-owned (Arcus Infrastructure Partners). Further international expansion, new markets (including the US), strategic partnerships, and M&A activities are creating a need for a strong commercial strategic leader.
As Business Development Director, you will have strategic and conceptual responsibility for commercial activities. You will develop and implement HB RTS's commercial strategy and translate strategy into concrete value creation in existing and new markets.
You operate at board level, but at the same time you are visible and active in the market with (key) customers and partners.
Your responsibilities
The Business Development Director is responsible for designing and implementing HB RTS's commercial strategy, with a focus on:
- The overall market and value proposition
- Market entry strategies (including new countries and the US)
- Value creation plan
- Pricing strategy
- Marketing and positioning
- Global partnerships
- M&A initiatives (in close collaboration with Arcus)
The position is based at the head office in Utrecht, but the role has a strong international character. You will regularly travel to Europe and the US. You will work closely with the Global Sales Director and the local sales teams in the various countries.
What are you bringing?
The ideal candidate is an experienced Managing Director, CCO, or Business Development Director with a proven track record in an international commercial environment. You combine strategic insight with strong execution skills and know how to translate commercial plans into concrete results.
You preferably have experience in packaging, pooling, rental, or leasing and have a good understanding of logistics services and/or the food industry. You feel comfortable in a role in which you are active at both the strategic and operational levels and are used to working with large international customers.
You fit in with the no-nonsense culture of HB RTS and interact effortlessly with shareholders and board-level stakeholders. With your results-oriented and relationship-driven approach, you know how to make an impact within the organization and in the market.
