Bag-in-Box
The smartest solution for transporting and storing liquids

What is a bag-in-box system?
A Bag-in-Box system consists of two components that together form a single integrated packaging solution: an IBC (Intermediate Bulk Container) as the outer container and a liner bag as the inner protective layer. The liner bag conforms to the shape of the liquid inside and contracts as the contents are dispensed—without allowing air to come into contact with the product.
How does it work?

The result
Optimal product quality, minimal residues, and a hygienic, efficient packaging solution suitable for virtually all types of liquids—from food and pharmaceutical products to chemicals and cosmetics.
The collapsible IBC is set up and prepared for use. Thanks to its ergonomic design, this can be easily done by a single person.
The liner bag is placed inside the IBC and connected to the filling and discharge system via an adapter or coupling.
The liner bag is filled with the liquid. The closed system prevents air or contaminants from coming into contact with the product—which is essential for oxygen-sensitive or microbiologically sensitive products.
The filled IBCs can be stacked or nested inside one another, significantly reducing the amount of storage space required.
IBCs are suitable for all modes of transport: truck, ship, and airplane. The exact 1200 x 1000 mm industrial standard size ensures optimal use of cargo space.
The liner bag contracts during the emptying process, limiting product residue to less than 0.5%. A Residue Reduction System (RRS) is available as an option for maximum emptying, even with viscous products.
After use, the liner bag is replaced and the IBC is folded up for return. The folded containers take up a fraction of the space required by filled units—which makes return logistics significantly cheaper and more efficient.

Designed for heavy-duty use
We will review your volumes, durations, and projects together. This will enable us to identify where you are encountering difficulties and where rental offers the most value. You will immediately gain a clear understanding of what is required.
Thinner walls, larger capacity
Thanks to the latest manufacturing technology and vibration welding, these IBCs feature thinner yet stronger walls—resulting in a larger capacity while maintaining the same footprint as competing units.
Complete range for all liquids
HB RTS offers IBCs in 500L, 1000L, 1040L, and 1250L sizes—fully certified, suitable for aseptic applications, and 100% recyclable. The liner bags are available in a variety of materials
Ergonomic and user-friendly design
The IBCs are equipped with a self-sealing lid, a spacious sump area for easy valve operation, an automatic drainage system, and a non-slip base. The locking mechanism is so strong that the walls can never collapse accidentally.
Compatible with virtually all liner bags and flaps
The IBCs are compatible with 99% of liner bags from leading manufacturers such as CDF, Natzan, Peak, Goglio, and Aran. In addition, HB RTS offers a full range of stainless steel valves and accessories.
Less cleaning, lower water consumption
Because the liner bag completely encloses the liquid, the IBC itself remains clean. After use, the liner is simply replaced. This significantly reduces cleaning cycles, water consumption, and the time between batches.
