Payroll & HR Specialist

HB RTS is growing rapidly. In the Netherlands, in Europe, and since 2025 also in the United States. That growth requires a solid foundation behind the scenes. That is why we are looking for a Payroll and HR Specialist who will ensure flawless payroll administration and reliable HR administration. Because behind every colleague is a functioning payroll system. And you play a key role in that.

The challenge

Due to the expansion of our activities and a recent acquisition, our HR department is also growing. You will be responsible for the Dutch payroll and will coordinate remuneration in other European countries together with local partners. We are working towards a single European payroll structure. This is a process in which you will actively contribute your ideas and help build the structure.

In addition, you will manage the HR administration related to new hires and departures. You will keep our time registration system up to date, monitor leave and overtime, and ensure that training registrations and invoice checks are in order. Employees can come to you with questions about payroll and HR. With your accuracy and service-oriented attitude, you will ensure that the basics are correct and remain so.

Your responsibilities

• Processing changes in AFAS for Dutch payroll administration

• Collaborating with international payroll partners to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing in multiple European countries

• Point of contact for employees with questions about salary and payroll

• Assisting with audits, inspections, and reporting

• Taking care of HR administration such as hiring and termination, training, invoices, and registration processes

What do you bring with you?

• Experience as a Payroll Specialist, preferably in an international environment

• Experience with AFAS is an advantage

• Knowledge of payroll legislation in England and Germany is a plus

• Excellent command of Dutch and English

• Attention to detail and enjoyment of working accurately

• A proactive attitude and strong communication skills

• A salary of up to €4,306 gross per month based on 40 hours

• A one-year contract with the prospect of permanent employment
